How safe will your digital wedding images
be?
All of your digital wedding images could be
lost even if they are stored on one drive and backed up to
a separate drive stored at the same location.

A burglary, fire, gas explosion, water leak or
some other catastrophic loss that destroys one drive would destroy both
drives.

The fail-safe offsite storage solution.
My image storage protocol includes three key
steps:
1) The night that I finish photographing your
wedding I download all of the compact flash (CF) cards we used to my
primary drives.
2) I back up your images to my on-site archive
drives that are kept offline and disconnected from all electrical power
keeping them safe and isolated from viruses and voltage surges.
The images now exist in three places, the CF
cards, the primary drives and the archived back up drives.
3) The first business day after your wedding, I
pick up a fail-safe drive I keep stored at an off site contract lock box
storage facility.
I bring the fail-safe drive back to the edit suite,
back up all of your images to that drive and return it to off-site storage
the same day.
Now, even if all of my on-site drives are
damaged or destroyed, I can pick up my fail-safe drive, down load it
to a new set of primary and archive backup drives and start right where I
left off.
